LOST ITEMS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO THE OWNERS


Kolkata, Date: 07.09.2022


On 05.09.2022 at 08.56 hrs, an information was received from a passenger  in the helpline number about a bag lying unclaimed in the train approaching  Sealdah Metro Station.  Station Master of Sealdah was immediately informed about  this.

He immediately informed the RPF post at this station.  o­n-duty RPF  staff swung into action immediately and entered the train after it reached the station.  During  a hectic search in the train, they found an unclaimed bag in a coach. It was deposited to the Station Master’s office.   After the opening of the bag, some valuable items were found therein.

Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the bag to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.   

After sometimes, a commuter came to the Station Master’s office and claimed the ownership of the bag.  After complying with all official formalities, it was handed over to him at 09.40 hrs.

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping him to recover the lost bag.


On 06.09.2022 at about 13.03 hrs., Security Control of Metro Railway after getting a phone call from a passenger through the Security Helpline about a mobile phone lying unclaimed in a Metro approaching Kavi Subhash Metro Station immediately alerted RPF post at Kavi Subhash Metro Station. A lady RPF posted at UP platform entered the train after it reached the station.  After hectic search, she found it in a coach. Finding no claimant of this phone and after careful checking, she deposited it to the Station Master’s chamber.  

Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the phone to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations. 

At about 13.15 hrs., a passenger came to the Station Master’s office and claimed the ownership of the lost phone.  After complying with all official formalities, the phone was given to him.

He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping him to recover the lost phone.
