LOST ITEMS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO COMMUTERS


Kolkata,Date: 03.09.2022   

                                      

            0­n  02.09.2022 at about  14:20 hrs , an o­n-duty lady RPF staff posted at Kavi Subhas Metro station during a routine check found a mobile phone near the ticket booking counter of the station. Finding no claimant of this mobile phone, she deposited it to the Station Master's office.  Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the mobile phone to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.   

After some time, i.e. at 14:50 hrs., a female commuter came to the Station Master's Office and claimed the ownership of the mobile phone. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the recovered mobile phone was handed over to her.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping her to recover the lost mobile phone.


In another incident o­n the same day, at Jatin Das Park station at about 16:50 hrs, an o­n-duty lady RPF staff during a routine check found a wallet near the sitting chair o­n the platform.  Finding no claimant of this wallet, she deposited it to Station Master’s Office of this station.  After opening the wallet, some cash was found therein. 

      Thereafter, the Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the wallet to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.

       After sometimes, i.e. at about 17:40 hrs., o­ne female commuter came to the Station Master’s office and claimed the ownership of the  wallet and the  cash containing therein. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the recovered wallet along with cash therein was handed over to her.               

       She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway Authority for helping her to recover the lost wallet and the cash containing therein.
