SWACHHTA PAKHWARA GOING on IN METRO RAILWAY
Kolkata, 29.09.2021: -
Metro Railway has been observing Swachhta Pakhwara from 16.09.2021. As a part of this observation, massive cleanliness drive has been undertaken at different Metro stations. Station premises are being cleaned by the Metro staff and they are also requesting passengers to help to maintain high standard of cleanliness at the Metro premises.
The objective of this initiative is to spread the message of Swachhta among the Metro commuters. Intensive cleanliness drive was undertaken at Dakshineswar, Baranagar, Noapara, Belgachia, Sovabazar-Sutanuti, Shyambazar, Central, Esplanade, Park Street, Girish Park, Netaji Bhavan, Jatin Das Park, Kalighat, Mahanayak Uttam Kumar, Netaji, Kavi Subhas and Central Park stations today. Passengers were requested not to use plastic bags to keep the environment clean.
Senior Metro officers and staff also offered Shramdaan at Metro Rail Bhavan, Noapara Carshed and other offices today.
