A FIRE EVACUATION MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED IN METRO

Metro Railway always gives top priority to the safety and security of the commuters. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff to tackle any fire incident in the Metro inside the tunnel, a passenger evacuation mock drill was conducted in between Esplanade and Park Street Metro stations on 26.09.2021 in the morning.
Metromen were imparted training on how to take immediate necessary action to rescue passengers in case of a fire in the running rake inside the tunnel.
The objective of this mock drill was to upgrade the evacuation skills as well as check alertness and preparedness of Metromen during such emergencies.
Senior officers and staff of different departments were present during this drill.
