A PASSENGER EVACUATION MOCK DRILL CONDUCTED WITH NDRF

Metro Railway always gives top priority to the safety and security of the commuters. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff to tackle any chemical disaster in the Metro, a passenger evacuation mock drill was conducted with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at Esplanade Metro station on 18.09.2021.
Metromen were trained and counseled by NDRF team on how to take immediate necessary action to rescue passengers in case of a chemical disaster in running rakes and at Metro stations.
The objective of this mock drill was to upgrade the evacuation skills as well as check alertness and preparedness of Metromen during such emergencies.
Senior officers and staff of different departments were present during this drill.
