SWACHHTA PAKHWARA BEGINS IN METRO RAILWAY BY ADMINISTERING SWACHHTA PLEDGE


Kolkata, Date: 16.09.2021


Metro Railway is observing ‘Swachhta Pakhwara’ from 16th to 30th September, 2021.  During the Pakhwara, intensive cleaning and sanitization drive of stations, trains, colonies and other railway establishments will be carried out with special focus o­n plastic waste management.

As a part of this programme, ‘Swachhta Pledge’ was administered by Shri S.K. Srivastava, Additional General Manager and Principal Chief Signal and Telecom Engineer to all senior officers at Metro Rail Bhavan today o­n 16.09.2021.  Apart from this, ‘Swachhta Pledge’ was also taken by officers and staff of Metro Railway at Noapara carshed stations and other railway establishments today.  

Special cleanliness drive was conducted in station premises, toilets, platforms, signalling rooms of Kavi Subhash Station.

Banners and posters are o­n display at all Metro stations to make Metro commuters aware about the importance of cleanliness.
