METRO RAILWAY OBSERVES ‘MARTYRDOM DAY’ AS PART OF ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV’

Metro Railway has observed ‘MARTYRDOM DAY’ on 11.08.2021 to mark the day of martyrdom of Saheed Khudiram. on 11th August 1908, Khudiram Bose was hanged by the British Rulers.
To mark the day, a ‘Sit and Draw’ programme was organized at Saheed Khudiram Metro station this morning. In this competition, school children took part and paid their homage to the youngest 'MARTYR’ of India’s Independence, Khudiram Bose through their drawings.
A skit on the life and struggle of Khudiram Bose was also staged at this station by the railway staff and members of their family. A small film was also displayed on platform televisions of different Metro stations.
It would not be out of place to mention here that Metro Railway has been celebrating the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence as ‘AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSOV’.
