METRO RPF RECOVERS A BAG AND HANDS OVER TO ITS OWNER

At around 09.30 hrs on 19.07.2021, an on-duty Metro RPF staff found an unclaimed ladies bag from the passengers’ seat at the north side of Dum Dum station. He brought the bag to Station Superintendent’s Office after necessary security checking. After opening the bag, one pair of golden ear ring, one golden chain, 02 mobile phone sets, liquid cash of Rs. 420/- and other documents worth of Rs. 50,000/- were found therein along with a mobile number. The owner of the bag was contacted at that number and informed about the recovery of the bag.
After sometimes, one lady came to the office of Station Superintendent of Dum Dum Metro station and told the on-duty officials that she had boarded a Metro, leaving her bag behind at Dumdum Station. After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the bag along with valuable items were handed over to her and she expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Metro officials and RPF staff.
