TOP SLAB CASTING OF A PART OF THE SUB-WAY BETWEEN BIMANBANDAR METRO STATION AND JESSORE ROAD COMPLETED

Works of different Metro Railway projects in Kolkata have been going o­n during the lockdown. Today i.e. o­n 12.06.2021 a 25 metre long, 11.6 metre wide and 900 mm thick top slab of the sub-way connecting the  underground Bimanbandar Metro Station and Jessore Road ( NH- 35) has been completed successfully inspite of heavy downpour.  Keeping the forecast of heavy downpour in mind, complete covering was arranged at the site to protect workers, machineries as well as newly casted concrete.

In today's work, a total of 275 cubic metre concrete were consumed and all COVID protocols were maintained.

During monsoon, such protective covering will be arranged for all the upcoming casting works at the airport site of Metro Railway.

It is to be mentioned that the construction work of this 300 metre long sub-way connecting the underground Bimanbandar Station of Noapara-Barasat via Bimanbandar Metro project and Jessore Road has been going o­n in full swing during this lockdown maintaining all Covid protocols.

All site workers have been vaccinated to protect them from COVID.
