METRO EXTENDS QR TICKETING SYSTEM ACROSS ALL LINES

From today onwards both paper and mobile QR tickets have been introduced in the entire Metro Railway Kolkata network. Earlier it was only available for Green Line, Blue Line and Orange Line . Same facility has been extended to Purple and Yellow Lines also from today . Now mobile QR tickets can be booked through Aamar Kolkata Metro app for the stations of these lines in addition to paper QR tickets.
Yesterday 23482 passengers booked mobile QR ticketsusing theMetro appwhich has been almost double than previous Mondaywhich was 11787. Passengers may savevaluable time and money by buying tickets through Aamar Kolkata Metro App before reaching Metro station to avoid rush and can avail 5 % discount in fare for each ticket booked through this app.
Frequent announcements have been made at metro stations to purchase tickets through this app so as to managing crowd on account of surge of passengers after opening new lines recently .
