‘METRO RIDE KOLKATA' APP RECHRISTENED AS 'AAMAR KOLKATA METRO' APP

'Metro Ride Kolkata' App has been rechristened as ‘AAMAR KOLKATA METRO’ App. From 01.08.2025, this has been changed gradually on the Android platform. This change will also be effective on the iOS platform very soon. Metro commuters who have already downloaded and started to use this App are requested to update it All features and facilities that used to be available in this App will continue to be available after the change of the name.
It is to be noted that so far 12.3 lakhs Android users have downloaded this App from Google Play Store and more than 76,000 iOS users have been actively using this App. These figures signify the acceptability and popularity of this App among the Metro users. Metro staff have also been helping passengers to download this App from Google Play Store and Apple Store and showing them the procedure to use it at different stations.
Passengers are requested to adopt digital transactions mode and also buy tickets online before reaching the Metro station to avoid rush due to long queues at booking counters particularly during the peak hours.
