METRO TO RUN 72 SERVICES on PURPLE LINE FROM 14.07.2025 (MONDAY)
FIRST SERVICE AT 07.57 HRS.

Good news for Metro commuters! Purple Line Metro services between Joka and Majerhat are increasing again.
To meet the demand of commuters, Metro Railway Authorities are going to increase Metro services and service hours on the Purple Line between Joka and Majerhat Metro stations from 14.07.2025 (Monday).
A total of 72 services (36 UP + 36 DN) on this stretch will be operated at an interval of 21 minutes (instead of 24 minutes) from that day. At present, 62 services (31 UP + 31 DN) are being operated daily from Monday to Friday on Purple Line. Service hours on this Corridor are also going to increase to 07.57 hrs to 20:32 hrs instead of 07:57 hrs to 20:17 hrs.
There will be no services on Saturdays & Sundays as usual.

From Joka: At 20.15 hrs (instead of 20.00 hrs)
