INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA OBSERVED IN METRO RAILWAY


Kolkata, Date: 21.06.2025


International Day of Yoga has been observed in Metro Railway today o­n 21.06.2025. The theme of this year’s International Day of Yoga has been "Yoga for o­ne Earth, o­ne Health". Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway, all Principal Heads of Departments, other senior officers and staff participated in a Yoga Session this morning with rest of the country through video link at Metro Rail Bhavan to mark the occasion. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was also present in this Yoga Session at Visakhapatnam. Shri Reddy advised all to practice Yoga every day to remain fit and healthy.


A Yoga Session was also conducted at the Central Park Depot of Green Line, Joka Depot of Purple Line this morning to celebrate International Day of Yoga. Officers and staff of Railway Protection Force and Metro Railway practiced Yoga in this session.


Officers and staff of Noapara Carshed also celebrated the day in a befitting manner. They took part in another Yoga Session organised at Noapara Carshed in order to maintain a healthy life and spread the message of togetherness.
