FIRE SAFETY WEEK 2025 ORGANISED AT TAPAN SINHA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

Metro Railway takes all possible measures and care for ensuring commuters safety. Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway regularly monitors and reviews safety measures adopted in the 'Lifeline of Kolkata' to avoid any untoward incident like fire. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff of different departments to tackle any fire emergency inside the tunnels or on the viaduct, regular training is conducted in Metro Railway, Kolkata.
During the ongoing Fire Safety Week 2025 (21st – 25th April, 2025), the employees of Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital, Metro Railway have taken pledge and took part in a Webinar on 22nd April, 2025 live with Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava, Union Health Secretary regarding Fire Safety Compliance and Regulatory requirements for effective fire prevention.
A demonstration on Fire Safety was given at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital on 23.04.2025 by Metro Railway Fire Service and West Bengal Fire Service Department in presence of Dr. Amitava Dutta, PCMO.More than 50 employees including RPF Personnel attended the demonstration.Various types of Fire Fighting equipment and the techniques to use them were demonstrated.
