COMPLETE BLOCK IN GREEN LINE FROM 26.04.2025 TO 28.04.2025


Kolkata, Date:-23.04.2025


There will be a complete Traffic Block from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V of Green Line from 26.04.25 (Saturday) to 28.04.25 (Monday) in connection with testing of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system over the entire Green Line and inspection for commissioning of Esplanade - Sealdah Section. The inter-connecting subway between Sealdah Metro station and Sealdah station of Eastern Railway will remain closed during those three days.


Normal services will be available o­n Blue Line during those three days as usual. o­n Purple Line and Orange Line, normal services will be available o­n 28.04.2025 (Monday).


Due to this traffic block, special Metro service in Green Line-2 after the IPL T-20 match of Kolkata Knight Riders, which will be played at Eden Gardens o­n 26.04.2025 (Saturday) night will not be available. However, the special Metro services in Blue Line after the IPL T-20 match on that night will be available.


Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.
