NEW PASSENGER-FRIENDLY FEATURES ADDED IN METRO RIDE KOLKATA APP

Kolkata, Date: 02.04.2025

For the convenience of commuters, Metro Railway is going to introduce some new passenger-friendly features in the Metro Ride Kolkata App. From tomorrow i.e. 03/04/25, commuters will be able to purchase a single QR code ticket for multiple passengers in a single transaction. Up to 4 passengers shall be able to travel with a single QR coded ticket bought through the Metro Ride Kolkata App. The same QR code ticket will be usable up to 4 times at the entry and exit gates.  Passengers carrying the QR code ticket should let their co-passengers (if any) to enter/exit metro gate first. Also, complex login password restrictions have been relaxed with the introduction of 4-digit PIN for the new users of Metro Ride Kolkata App. The old users of this app can also switch to this PIN option by resetting the password.

These new features will be available to all app users over the next few days in a phased manner from tomorrow o­nwards.

Metro Railway appeals to all commuters to use the Metro Ride Kolkata App for enjoying hassle-free journey in the Metro and avoid long queues in front of the booking counters.
