LOST BAG RETURNED TO A LADY COMMUTER BY METRO STAFF

On 22.03.2025, at around 13:58 hrs an on-duty RPF staff posted at Howrah Maidan Metro station while conducting a routine checking recovered an unclaimed bag from a rake and deposited it to the Station Master’s Office after proper security checking. After opening the bag, some valuable items were found therein.
Thereafter, Station Master made repeated announcements requesting the owner of the bag to collect it from the Station Master's Office and a control message was also communicated to all the stations.
After sometime, a lady commuter came to the Station Master’s Office of Howrah Maidan Metro station and claimed the ownership of the recovered bag and the items containing therein. After proper verification and fulfilling all official formalities, the bag along with all other items were handed over to her.
She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Metro Railway authorities for helping her to get back the lost bag along with all other items.
