COMMISSIONER OF RAILWAY SAFETY INSPECTS CBTC BASED SIGNALLING SYSTEM FROM JOKA TO MAJERHAT STRETCH OF PURPLE LINE

 

Kolkata, Date:22.03.2025

 

Shri Sumit Singhal, Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) / Metro & NF Circle inspected the automatic Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling sytem from Joka to Majerhat stretch of Purple Line today i.e.on 22.03.25. CRS inspection and approval are mandatory for commissioning of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling sytem from Joka to Majerhat stretch of Purple Line.

 

CRS started his inspection this morning from Joka Depot of Purple Line and inspected the carshed, rolling stock, maintenance facility etc. He also inspected the stretch fron Joka Depot to Majerhat station in a rake today to check train operations with CBTC system.

 

After reaching Majerhat, CRS inspected the Operation Control Centre (OCC) at Majerhat station.

 

During this inspection, Shri Anuj Mittal, Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), Shri S. R. Meena, Principal Chief Signal and Telecom Engineer (PCSTE), other high-level officials of Metro Railway and Shri Amit Tandon, ED/ Metro, RVNL and other officials accompanied him.
