FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING ORGANISED AT NOAPARA CARSHED

Kolkata, Date: 06.03.2025

Metro Railway takes all possible measures and care for ensuring commuters safety. Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway regularly monitors and reviews safety measures adopted in the 'Lifeline of Kolkata' to avoid any untoward incident like fire. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff of different departments to tackle any fire emergency inside the tunnels or o­n the viaduct, regular training is conducted in Metro Railway, Kolkata.

Fire fighting training programmes for field staff were conducted under the supervision of senior officers o­n 05.03.2025 at Noapara Carshed. In this training, Metro staff were imparted training o­n how to douse the flame through simulation of various fire and smoke conditions at stations.

Staff from Traffic Department attended this training. It is expected that such trainings will sharpen the skill and alertness of staff to respond to any emergency situation and minimize the rescue time and restore normalcy at the earliest.
