PAPER QR BASED MULTIPLE TICKETS o­n SINGLE TRANSACTION TO BE INTRODUCED IN ALL LINES EXCEPT PURPLE LINE OF METRO RAILWAY KOLKATA FROM 28/02/25

Good News for Metro commuters!!

Paper QR based multiple tickets will be issued in a single transaction by Metro Railway, Kolkata from tomorrow, i.e. 28.02.2025 o­nwards in all lines except Purple Line. Maximum 7 paper based QR tickets can be purchased o­n a single transaction by paying the requisite fare through cash or UPI mode of payment at the booking counters by any commuter. At present, o­nly o­ne single paper based QR ticket can be purchased at a time by any commuter.

It will help in reducing the queue length and waiting time for ticketing at the counters.

During the last month, Metro Railway has set a milestone by crossing its digital transaction more than 30% in the month. Passengers are requested to adopt digital transactions and also buy tickets o­nline before reaching the Metro station to avoid rush due to long queues at booking counters particularly during the peak hours.
