FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING ORGANISED AT KARUNAMOYEE STATION

Metro Railway takes all possible measures and care for ensuring commuters safety. Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway regularly monitors and reviews safety measurements adopted in the 'Lifeline of Kolkata' to avoid any untoward incident like fire. In order to check the preparedness of Metro staff of different departments to tackle any fire emergency inside the tunnels or on the viaduct, regular trainings are conducted in Metro Railway.
One such fire training programme for field staff was conducted under the supervision of senior officers today on 13.01.2025 at Karunamoyee Metro station. In this training, Metro staff were imparted training on how to douse the flame through simulation of various fire and smoke conditions at stations.
Staff from Traffic, Electrical, RPF and other departments attended this training. It is expected that such trainings will sharpen the skill and alertness of staff to respond to any emergency situation and minimize the rescue time and restore normalcy at the earliest.
