NATIONAL TUBERCULOSIS ELIMINATION PROGRAMME IN METRO RAILWAY

 

Kolkata, Date:- 09.01.2025

 

Metro Railway has been organising a 100-day long Tuberculosis Elimination Programme from 27th December 2024 to 24th March 2025. In this connection, a seminar was organised today i.e. o­n 09.01.2025 at Tapan Sinha Memorial Hospital of Metro Railway at Tollygunge to spread the knowledge and awareness about this disease.

 

In this seminar, Dr. Arun Kumar Prasad/ACMS/Metro Railway elaborately discussed about TB andsteps required to be taken for the prevention of Tuberculosis and made the employees aware of the disease. Md.Farikul Alam, Sr. Treatment Supervisor (TB), KMC/Kolkata briefed about the history of Tuberculosis as well as measures to be taken for the elimination of Tuberculosis. Metro officers and staff attended the programme and upgraded their knowledge o­n how to eradicate this disease.

 

Dr. A.Dutta, Principal Chief Medical Officer, Metro Railway also discussed all relevant aspects of this disease at length for the benefit of the participants.
