Rs. 10/- SURCHARGE TO BE LEVIED on EVERY TICKET FOR SPECIAL PAIR OF NIGHT SERVICES FROM 01.01.2025

Metro Railway, Kolkata has decided to start levying Rs. 10/- as surcharge on trial basis on every ticket irrespective of the distance travelled by the commuter for the Special Night Services which are operated from Kavi Subhash and Dum Dum both ways at 22.40 hrs. (on weekdays) from 01.01.2025 (Wednesday) onwards. The occupancy of these special services has been very poor.
Rs. 10 surcharge will be levied on each ticket for all special night services operated after normal services.
This experimental surcharge will be reviewed in due course.
