A BAG CONTAINING A LAPTOP & MOBILE PHONE WORTH Rs. 1.4 LAKHS RECOVERED AND RETURNED TO ITS OWNER

On 19.12.2024 at 20.15 hrs., an on-duty RPF staff recovered an unclaimed bag from the platform at Esplanade Metro station of Green Line-2. After necessary security checking, he brought that bag to the Station Master’s office.
After opening the bag, a laptop, a mobile phone, a power bank and other items worth Rs. 1.4 Lakhs were found therein. Repeated announcements were made through the Public Address System of the station requesting the owner of the bag to collect it from Station Master's Office by showing valid proof and also a control message was communicated to all stations regarding this loss of bag.
At about 21.00 hrs, a person came to Station Master’s Office of Esplanade station and claimed the ownership of the bag and the items containing therein.
After proper verification and complying with all official formalities, the bag along with other items were handed over to him.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Metro Railway Authorities for the recovery of his lost bag along with all the items.
