SECRET BALLOT ELECTION IN METRO RAILWAY
Kolkata, 4th December, 2024
Secret Ballot Election-III in Metro Railway is being held on 04.12.2024 and 05.12.2024 . A total of 3303 voters are casting their votes for the purpose of recognition of Trade Union in Metro Railway. After completion of peaceful campaigning, this election is being held in which four registered Trade Unions are contesting.
Voters are casting their votes in six booths at Metro Rail Bhavan, Park Street, Central Park Depot, Salt Lake, Officer’s Club at Tollygunge and Noapara Administrative Building. Adequate security arrangements have been made by deploying RPF and State Police personnel to make this voting process free and fair.
For the FIRST TIME in the history of union elections EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) have been introduced as a pilot project.
Counting of votes will take place on 12.12.2024.
