SPECIAL TICKET-CHECKING DRIVES GOING on AT DIFFERENT METRO STATIONS

It has been detected that some of the commuters of Metro Railway have started travelling in unauthorized manner. During November, 2024, Metro Railway ticket checking squad has imposed fine on 165 passengers for ticket-less travel, travel with short distance tickets etc.
Commuters are requested to travel with proper travelling authority and also to help the Metro Railway authorities to maintain cleanliness of station premises and trains. Metro Railway has planned to conduct massive ticket checking drives.
Special pair of Metro services is being run at 22:40 hrs. from Kavi Subhash (New Garia) to Dum Dum and vice-versa. The occupancy of the same is very poor. It is planned to add surcharge of Rs.10/- with every ticket of the service irrespective of the distance travelled by the commuter. This is being implemented from 10th December, 2024.
