METRO GM INSPECTS JAI HIND METRO STATION

 

Kolkata, 27.11.2024

 

Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, GM, Metro Railway along with PCE ,PCEE ,PCSTE and other officers of the construction wing of Metro Railway , inspected the Jai Hind (Airport) Metro station and reviewed the progress of all o­ngoing works o­n 26.11.2024. Senior officers of Metro Railway apprised him about the progress of works and latest status of civil, electrical as well as Signal & Telecommunications works of the stretch from Noapara to Jai Hind stations of Yellow Line. He was satisfied with the progress of works and instructed to expedite the balance work . Shri Reddy also instructed to monitor electrical works more critically especially those including the supply of items from abroad.

 

Shri Devindar Kumar,Chief Engineer, Construction, Metro Railway informed that fire doors approx 250 numbers would be installed by Dec.'24 . Construction ofstaircases at Jai Hind station is complete. Flooring work of PlatformNo.2 and 3 of this station is also complete. Installation work of the travelletor will start from the next month. GM instructedcivil and electrical officers to complete all fire fighting works and apply to state authorities for clearance. The construction team has assured to start the trial run in the month of Dec,'24 .GM emphasized adherence to the target of opening of Noapara -Jai Hind Metrosection by March,'25.
