ADDITIONAL MEMBER (TELE) RAILWAY BOARD INSPECTED ESPLANADE TO HOWRAH MAIDAN STRETCH OF GREEN LINE-2

Kolkata, Date- 18.11.2024

Shri Sameer Dikshit, Additional Member (Tele) Railway Board, inspected the Esplanade to Howrah Maidan stretch of Green Line-2 today i.e. o­n 18.11.2024. Welcoming Additional Member (Tele) Railway Board, Shri Nilabhra Sengupta, CSTE/Project and other senior officers briefed him about different safety measures adopted in Metro Railway.

Shri Dikshit started his footplate inspection from New Esplanade station to Howrah Maidan station in Motorman’s Cab. He inspected the platform safety and emergency equipment installed like Motorman monitor and emergency telephone. He inspected the Signal Equipment Room, the Signalling System, remote monitoring and signalling, earthing of equipment and power distribution rack at Howrah Maidan station. He also inspected Telecom Equipment Room, Optical Fibre Rack, Gigabit Ethernet Rack, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Monitoring System and other telecom equipment as well as different passenger safety measures being followed in Metro Railway, Kolkata. After completing the inspection Shri Dikshit undertook a return journey to New Esplanade Metro station in Motorman’s Cab. 

Additional Member (Tele), Railway Board, after the inspection, expressed his satisfaction seeing the overall safety measures adopted in Metro Railway.
