SAREE, T-SHIRT, FOOD PACKET DISTRIBUTION DRIVE AT HOWRAH METRO STATION


Kolkata, 09.11.2024:


In a heartwarming gesture of support and solidarity, Metro Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (MRWWO) organized a charitable distribution drive of sarees, sanitary napkins, T-Shirts and food packets today i.e. o­n 09.11.2024 at Howrah Metro station. All these items were distributed among the underprivileged this morning.


The initiative was led by the President of MRWWO, Smt. P. Sreelatha, who was instrumental in the planning and execution of the drive. Her commitment to social welfare and the well-being of the community was reflected in the successful organisation of this event.


The event was graciously supported by the esteemed presence of Shri. P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager. Metro Railway, Kolkata whose continued leadership and assistance were crucial in ensuring the success of this initiative. All senior officers of Metro Railway were also present in this programme.


About 75 underprivileged males, 85 females including senior citizens and 25 children benefited from this distribution. They received sarees, sanitary napkins, T-Shirts and essential food packets.


The event also aimed at fostering a spirit of community feeling and supporting the local underprivileged population. Metro officials and volunteers worked together to make a meaningful difference.


Smt. P. Sreelatha expressed her gratitude for the support received from the team of officers at Howrah Railway station , the local NGOs and  Metro Railway. 


Metro Railway Women's Welfare Organisation, under the leadership of Smt. P. Sreelatha, remains committed to serving the community and empowering women and children in the region.
