More and more commuters of Kolkata and adjoining districts have been preferring to travel in the Metro in order to reach their destinations fast and without any hassle. This preference of commuters is getting reflected in the passenger figures as Metro has carried around 4 crore passengers in September’24 and October’24 in all its lines. In each of these months, around 2 crore passengers have travelled in the Lifeline of Kolkata. Metro carried around 8.15 Lakh passengers on 30.09.2024 and around 9.62 Lakh passengers on 09.10.2024.
