PUBLIC AWARENESS WORKSHOP HELD AT MAHANAYAK UTTAM KUMAR STATION

Kolkata, Date: 17.09.2024

Metro Railway has been observing the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign to spread awareness about cleanliness among all its stakeholders. During this campaign, intensive cleaning and sanitization drives at stations, trains, colonies, hospital and other railway establishments will be carried out with special focus o­n plastic waste management. As the Swachhata Pakhwada 2024 unfolds, the Metro Railway continues to lead the way in fostering a cleaner, greener and more sustainable India.

As a part of this campaign, a Public Awareness Workshop was held at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar Station to make the passengers aware about Swachhta. Shri Lakheswar Saikia, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Metro Railway presided over this workshop. He requested all to keep Metro premises clean. He also interacted with them. Metro commuters expressed their satisfaction about the standard of cleanliness in the Metro premises.

Extensive cleanliness drive was organized at Mahanayak Uttam Kumar station today.  Banners have been put o­n display to make all aware about this campaign. Repeated announcements were also made through the Public Address System in the stations about the importance of this Swachhta programme.
