METRO EARNINGS FROM PASSENGER FARE CROSSES o­nE CRORE o­n 31.08.24

Kolkata, 01.09.24:

Metro Railway has set another benchmark in ferrying passengers. o­n 31.08.24, Kolkata Metro's earnings from passenger fare have crossed Rs. 1 crore mark in a single day. o­n that day around 6.75 lakh passengers travelled in Blue Line, Green Line-1 and Green Line-2 of Kolkata Metro. Maximum passengers, around 5.75 lakhs were carried in Blue Line. Green Line-1 and 2 carried around 50,000 passengers each.

By carrying such huge passengers and from o­n-line recharge the day's earnings from passenger fare have crossed Rs. 1.01 crore mark.

It is to be noted that o­n 31.08.24 being a Saturday, commercial services o­n Orange Line and Purple Line were closed.
