METRO SERVICES RUNNING NORMALLY TILL 14:00 HRS.

Kolkata, Date :- 28.08.2024

Metro services in all the Corridors have been running normally today i.e.28.08.2024 since morning.  More than 1.9 lakh passengers have travelled in Blue Line till 14.00 hrs today.    o­n 21.08.2024 (i.e. last Wednesday) passenger count of Blue Line was 2.6 lakhs.  More than 13,000 passengers have travelled in Green Line-1 and more than 16000 passengers have travelled in Green Line-2 of Kolkata Metro till 14.00 hrs. today.   Last Wednesday, around 23000 passengers travelled in Green Line 1 and around  19,000 passengers travelled in Green Line 2 during the same time. Till 14.00 hrs around 2.2 lakh passengers   have travelled in all the Corridors of Kolkata Metro today. Last Wednesday, total passenger count of all the Corridors of Kolkata Metro was 3 lakhs.

Keeping in mind the state-wide Bandh today, Metro Railway authorities have made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth Metro services. Additional RPF officers and staff have been deployed at strategically important stations to tackle any emergency situation and ensure safety and security. Senior Metro officials have been monitoring the situation o­n real-time basis since morning from Metro Rail Bhavan and stations.

So far everything is under control and services are running smoothly as per the schedule.
