MORE THAN 2.61 LAKHS PASSENGERS TRAVELLED IN NORTH-SOUTH METRO TILL 18.00 HRS.

Metro Railway has carried 2,61,759 passengers till 18.00 hrs. today i e. on 24.12.2023.
Kolkata Metro made elaborate arrangements for TET, 2023 aspirants in order to make their journey comfortable so that they could easily reach their respective centres. For their benefits, Metro services started in Blue Line from 6.50 hrs. today instead of 9.00 hrs.
Today maximum footfall has been registered at Dum Dum Metro station and the count is 30,237 till 18.00 hrs. Esplanade has registered 22,118 footfall followed by Rabindra Sadan (17,928) and Dakshineswar (16,153).
Today, 55,946 more passengers have travelled in Blue Line in comparison to 10.12.2023 count till 18.00 hrs. on 10th December, 2023 (Sunday), Metro Railway carried 2,05,813 passengers in Blue Line till 18.00 hrs.
Metro Railway opened additional counters at different stations and took adequate security measures and provided additional tokens and Smart Cards at ticket counters in order to manage the expected additional rush of TET aspirants today.
