JICA TEAM INSPECTED BOWBAZAR SITE OF EAST-WEST METRO PROJECT

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Team headed by Mr. Saito Mitsunori, Chief Representative, JICA India Office has inspected the project site of East-West Metro at Bowbazar today i.e. on 01.12.2023.The team also inspected the tunnel between Esplanade and Sealdah of this project and assessed the progress of work.
Senior officials of Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) accompanied the JICA team during this visit.After the visit, this team held a detailed discussion with Shri V.K. Srivastava, MD, KMRCL and Principal Chief Engineer, Metro Railway.Shri Srivastava apprised them about the progress of this project and the quality and safety standards being adopted during the execution of this project.
JICA team expressed their satisfaction seeing the progress of the work and the quality and safety standards which are being followed at the project sites.
