GENERAL MANAGER INSPECTED JAI HIND(AIRPORT) TO BISWA BANGLA CONVENTION CENTRE STRETCH OF ORANGE LINE

Today, i.e. on 24.11.2023, Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected the stretch of Orange Line from Jai Hind (Airport) to Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. Senior officers of Metro Railway and Shri Amit Kumar Roy, ED/ Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) along with other officers of RVNL accompanied him during this inspection.
Shri Reddy started the inspection from Airport this morning. Here RVNL Officials briefed him about the progress of the work so far and the future plan to expedite the construction work of this corridor. General Manager instructed them to take all necessary steps to complete the work in order to start Metro operations from Kolkata Airport at the earliest. Here Shri Reddy, inspected the construction work of D-Wall at Airport CNS/VHF Complex.
From Airport, Shri Reddy went to Kaikhali to see the present state of construction there on the busy thoroughfare. Later, he also inspected VIP Road Station, Chinar Park Station. He also visited the proposed site of the Metro Depot for this Corridor adjacent to Bagjola Canal. Shri Amit Roy, ED/RVNL apprised him about different facilities that would be available in this Depot for rake maintenance. on his way to Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, General Manager visited Mangaldeep station where construction work has been over. Shri Reddy checked the entry and exit points, platforms, concourse level etc. of this station. He completed today’s inspection at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre station. Here he instructed all concerned officials to complete all the piling and other works according to the schedule.
While evaluating the progress of works of this stretch, he expressed his satisfaction and emphasised on completing the scheduled work without any delay.
